Day 15 – Halfway there!

Today marks the halfway point of my 30 day challenge and I’m feeling okay.  Still going through the hormonal cranky spells but that’s nothing unusual for me during my cycle.

We had a pretty quiet Good Friday but it was quite busy.  Did a major clean up in the basement, drove Allison to town to spend some time with her Nanny, trained two clients, then back to get Allison.  I made another Meatza to pick at over the weekend.  Breakfast was some Coconut Primal Pancakes with pure maple syrup.  Very yummy!  I still have to meet my goal of eating fish twice a week so I will buy some haddock and scallops tomorrow when the stores are open.  Mmm bacon wrapped scallops. :)

I’m doing an 8 km run with the girls tomorrow morning andd I’m really curious to see what my energy levels are like after 2 weeks of being Primal.  I feel energetic but at the same time I’m not confident it’s going to be the same to sustain long distance running.  I tried running with Crystal last night and she commented that my “pep” just wasn’t there like it usually is.  Instead of running ahead I’m kind of trailing behind and winded.  This may just be because I’m tired after a long work week or perhaps it’s a result of the diet?  I’m not sure but we’ll see.  I’m going to give the run a fair assessment tomorrow morning and I will be sure to blog all about it with an honest review. :)  I know there is a book for Paleo Athletes and how you can tweak your meals for training.  Do any Primal folks have any feedback on this?  If so, is it worth the purchase?

One of my goals is to complete a 5K run before my jaw surgery June 1st and to beat my original time.  There’s a number of runs coming up in May so I’m really looking forward to it!

Anyhow that’s the scoop for now.  I apologize for this post being late.  I had some fun making Easter crafts and lost track of time.  :)

Nite nite!
